  • Do you offer weekly therapy?
I may be taking on new people for weekly/bi-weekly one hour sessions. Contact me to inquire about whether I am taking on new hourly clients and we can also chat about how intensives may help even if you think they might not be the right fit. Ask how an intensive can save you time from weekly therapy by filling out the contact form below.

  • Do you take insurance?

I do not take insurance, but may be able to provide you with a superbill for you to turn in to your insurance to be reimbursed by them.

  • How much do sessions cost with you?

My regular one hour sessions are $150 an hour and see the home page at the bottom for pricing on intensives.

  • Are therapy intensives right for me?

Therapy intensives may be right for you if you are looking to do the deep work now or you are tired of doing week to week hour by hour therapy because you want to potentially make progress in less time. Therapy intensives are also for people that are tired of doing the same old thing in traditional talk therapy because they are highly customizable according to what you need.

  • Am I the right fit therapist for you?

I might be, I might not be! Are looking for a therapist that is going to be quiet, nod their head and be a blank slate? If you are, then I am not the right therapist for you. Are you looking for someone that goes deep and wants to help you make real change from the root up? Then, I may be the right fit for you. Are you looking for someone that is nurturing AND direct? That's me. Are you looking for a therapist that is creative or open to your creativity? I love exploring innovative or highly personalized approaches to healing or seeing the world.  I am a real person with a personality that will be engaged in the work with you and curious about your perspective. I believe that therapy is a healthy,
human to human experience guided by evidence based approaches as well as intuition. If you are interested in this approach, I may be the right fit.

  • You mention intuition and deep work with symbology and dream interpretation. You also do this IADC thing. You seem a little to woo-woo for me and I am afraid that you're too out there for me to work with, but I am intrigued by your approach. How can I feel safe that you are doing work that will not harm me and is grounded in something that will actually help me and not make me more dissociative?

First of all this concern is so valid. I completely understand wanting to make sure that you are in qualified hands when it comes to your therapy. You should ask questions about the qualifications any practitioner has. I want to assure you that I am well-trained in science based techniques. Firstly, I received a Master's degree in the science of Social Work (MSSW) which included being trained on how to research and did my own research, which was a requirement for graduation from the Kent School of Social Work. I use EMDR, which has been researched and tested for decades in order to be proven to be effective. I follow the 8 phase protocol as trained (do we take side quests and tailor the process unique to you, yes we do, but we always come back to the protocol). I am continuously learning by reading, listening to podcasts from experts and taking Social Work board approved trainings. In our work together, I am always assessing your reactions, readiness and input about your treatment. I actually feel pretty good about how incredibly cautious I am about doing what is best for my clients and not rushing them through any process. I always welcome feedback and am conscientious about meeting people where they are and ethically addressing their mental health needs. I encourage people to do their own research, consult their medical practitioners and wait until they feel safe enough to proceed. I am also open to the idea that some things can't be measured in a lab like intuition and dream symbolism (a foundation of human psychology, introduced by Carl Jung and many other pioneers in the field). I will never use a tool in our sessions together that you do not consent to or that I am not confident will help and not harm.

When it comes to IADC, there are of course concerns about the efficacy for people who don't understand what it is. IADC is based on the EMDR protocol and I take a very skeptical and grounded approach to my work in the spiritual adjacent world to mental health. My training as a trauma-informed therapist is of great assistance here. I use all the skills and caution I would in a session where I am using EMDR to address trauma or emotionally overwhelming events.

I want you to experience healing in a safe, informed, collaborative, nurturing and science based environment. Period.
